From Snapshot to ProShot: Vacations
Thank you to our friends who sent photos in this time around! We got some adorable shots for this theme so it was a little hard to choose. This one was submitted by Shannon Martin. Just look at that beautiful horizon!! It gave us a great starting point to improve the appearance of the sky by adding in some clouds and bringing out the blue a bit more. We also loved the reflection and the framing of the children within the shot.

From Snapshot to ProShot: On the Water
Our idea for this was to provide a free service to clients we have worked with, as well as Facebook friends we have never met! When we first started talking about it, we loved that it gave us a way to work with those of you who are even out of town. We know that so many of you have great photographs framed in your house that could look even better after a few finishing touches by a professional. Or maybe you have a shot you love but it’s just too dark to frame. Our hope is that this gives you the opportunity to submit your favorite snapshots, allow us to edit them, and get a photograph back that is absolutely worthy of display!
The first theme we announced was, “On the Water.” And we chose this specific photo for a few reasons. Although it was underexposed, it had very even lighting and great color. We knew after correcting the exposure and bringing up the colors, they would really pop! It was also framed well and very balanced, since the subject (this adorable little girl) is directly in the middle of the photograph and both arms are equally visible. We also loved how the angle really allows you to see her face. You have a clear view of both eyes and her beautiful smile!

Introducing: From Snapshot to ProShot!
The who, what, when, where, and why…
At RaeElle Photography, we have seen the amazing possibilities Photoshop has to offer all images, including amateur snapshots. We have played around with a few of our own photos that were taken before we got into photography as a profession, and have seen some pretty cool results.
So we had this idea to gather some of your favorite images and offer you a professional touch-up, completely free! We will do this as often as we can, taking into consideration our work and family life. Whenever we feel like we have the time to work on a photo, we will post the current theme on FB and allow you to submit your favorite shot for consideration!
The how…
Once we post the current theme on Facebook, you will need to comment on that status that you plan to participate. Make sure you have read through and agree to all Terms and Conditions (fine print at the bottom of this post). Then you will need to send your photo submission to info@raeelle.com If your photo is selected for retouching, you will receive the edited file free for your personal use!
