Capture the Year Contest

This quote is one of our favorites!! Family is so important to us! After all, our own children are the very reason we started this photography business. And as the New Year rolled around, we overheard several resolutions to spend more quality time with family, and to take more family portraits. So with that in mind we decided that at the start of 2011, we wanted to giveaway an amazing opportunity for one family to do just that! To truly…
Capture the Year!!
Worth a grand total of $750, this prize will include up to three 1-2 hour portrait sessions, and a CD of 20-30 high resolution files with full printing rights for each session. And they can be scheduled whenever you wish during the next year!
Just consider the possibilities! Are you an expecting mother? Imagine how amazing it will be to have professional portraits taken of your pregnancy, your newborn, and then your six month old cutie! Were you recently engaged? We’d love to take photos for your wedding invitation, then your bridal portraits, and maybe a trash-the-dress after you’ve said, “I do!” Or are you simply a busy parent who knows how quickly life passes you by, and would be grateful for the opportunity to have your children photographed throughout the year, timelessly capturing them as they are right now?

Please tell us in 250 words or less what “Family Happiness” means to you. You can share your thoughts on family, tell us a story, or describe a fun memory. Be creative!! Entries must be accompanied by a photograph of your whole family, or a member of your family. All text and photos will be posted in an album on our Facebook page, found here. Voting will be opened to the public and the winner will be determined by the highest number of Facebook “likes”. So we encourage you to start recruiting your family and friends now! First they must join our Facebook page by clicking “like” at the top. Then when voting opens, they must “like” your photo. Comments are welcomed but will not be counted as votes. And don’t forget to vote for your own entry!

Entries will be accepted until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Voting will begin at 12:01am EST on Monday, January 31, 2011 and continue through 11:59pm EST on Sunday, February 13, 2011. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. Images uploaded must be the property of the applicant and not under copyright protection. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that appears to be suspicious or inappropriate.
Prizes will be given as three separate gift certificates, valued at $250 and expiring one year from the date of contest ending. Gift certificates cannot be exchanged for cash and are not transferrable to any other person. When scheduling winner must agree to follow regular session terms and conditions, such as but not limited to travel fees, available times and dates, and cancellation policies. All participants of free sessions must be willing to sign a release giving us permission to use all photos in our portfolio, blog, printed material or other advertising materials. We require an electronically marked consent that you are entering this contest voluntarily and that you have read and understood all terms
