Our Business

RaeElle Photography was started in 2007 by husband and wife team, Rich and Heather Becker, after a brief conversation with a knowledgeable salesman, in the camera department of an electronic store. At the time of that spur of the moment, late-night trip, it felt like a meeting of pure chance. But looking back we know there was a reason we stumbled upon digital photography at that exact time because it has completely changed the course of our lives!

We have strong backgrounds in customer service, and have always loved working with people. So realizing we also had a passion for the art of photography made starting this business a natural path to take. And we quickly discovered the type of photographs we loved and cherished were the genuine moments we happened to capture, the real emotion, the fleeting interactions. These were the images that made us laugh, took our breath away, and even brought tears to our eyes! So we have made it a priority to learn about you, to listen to what you want, and use our lens to tell the world about who you are right now.

It hasn’t been easy, but it has definitely been worth it! It is the most rewarding work we have ever done, and we are better people because of those of you whom we have met and photographed. We thank you for inviting us into the special occasions in your life, and for allowing us to capture you and your family in a beautiful and timeless way!

Our Photographers

Rich – I have always had a creative side and even dabbled in a bit of film and cinematography through the years. Photography has provided me with a way to express and develop this part of who I am and has made me see the world in a different light. Overgrown fields, dilapidated buildings, and older towns might be an eye sore for some, but have become interesting and beautiful backdrops to some of my very best work.

Heather – When I look at the world I see endless possibilities and countless opportunities. I tend to think outside the box and choose non-traditional routes in many areas, like spending my last few months as a teenager volunteering in a third world country, and opting to homeschool our girls instead of sending them away to school each day. So I love that when I get behind the camera, I can simply change my position or angle and capture everyday things in a new and exciting way!

Our Family

We met just out of high school and have been together for over a decade now! We have changed so much from the young people we once were…both as individuals and as a couple. We feel so fortunate that we have managed to grow together through these changes, and continue strengthening our marriage at every turn and roadblock.

We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters. Rhea (Rae-ah), our oldest, is compassionate, thoughtful, creative, and perceptive! She absolutely loves to learn and often asks us deep and thought-provoking questions, causing us to pause and reconsider the ways of the world as we know them. Ella, our youngest, is affectionate, energetic, adventurous, and funny! She often provides the much needed comic relief when life gets stressful. She loves to play and reminds us daily to stop and find joy in the present moment!

They are the very best parts of us, and give us the inspiration to reach for the stars! For this reason, we created the name, RaeElle, by combining the first syllables of their names.
